About Christopher Fleming

Christopher Fleming is an internationally recognized paranormal investigator, spiritual medium, artist and speaker with over five decades of firsthand encounters with the supernatural and spiritual realms. Born in 1967, the son of NHL legend Reggie Fleming, Chris grew up in the Chicago suburbs—where, from early childhood of 3, he experienced profound and often terrifying interactions with ghosts and unexplained entities. These early encounters inspired a lifelong pursuit to understand consciousness, spirit, and life after death.

By age eight, Chris was experimenting with EVP (electronic voice phenomena) and psychic communication, capturing voices and physical manifestations that would later shape his work in modern paranormal research. After earning a degree in Fine Arts with minors in Psychology and Music from Beloit College, he spent several years in art design and advertising before launching Unknown Magazine in 1997—an independent publication documenting real experiences of the unexplained.

In 2003, Chris became internationally known as co-host of the acclaimed TV series Dead Famous, which aired in over 20 countries on networks including LivingTV, Bravo, and The Biography Channel. His investigations and groundbreaking use of the  “Direct Response Method” (created by Dr William Roll) using EMF meters helped shape how modern ghost hunting is done today. Since then, Chris has appeared on numerous hit shows, including the award winning Curse of Lizzy Borden Shock Doc, Ghost Hunters - Manson Murders Episode, Ghost Adventures/GA Live, Portals to Hell and Psychic Kids for Syfy, Travel and A&E.

In the UK, Chris co-starred in two seasons of Help! My House Is Haunted and led investigations on Spooked Scotland and Spooked Ireland for Discovery Warner Bros., airing on the Really Channel in the UK and the Travel and Discovery Channels in the U.S. These international series further cemented his reputation as one of the world’s leading investigators of haunted history and spirit communication.

Over the past two decades, Chris has hosted his long-running podcast Spirit Talk, lectured at universities, and co-developed several spirit communication devices including the SB7 Spirit Box with Gary Galka. He continues to investigate, mentor investigators, collaborate with scientists and clergy on complex hauntings, and explore new frontiers in instrumental trans-communication (ITC).

A near-death experience in 2010 and a miraculous recovery from aggressive leukemia in 2024-2025 deepened Chris’s spiritual insight and strengthened his belief in divine intervention and the power of faith. His upcoming book, Beyond Ordinary: True Stories of Messages, Miracles & Encounters That Changed Lives (working title), shares his own encounters and those of others who have experienced profound moments of spiritual guidance and transformation.

Today, while Chris recovers from intense Chemotherapy treatment he creates art, writes lyrics to music at home and remains dedicated to contributing to the paranormal field through research, media, and compassionate spiritual consulting—while continuing to explore what connects us to each other, to consciousness, and to life after death.
