BOOGIE MAN BLUES: WHEN THE SUPERNATURAL MEETS THE BLUES

For more than five decades, Christopher Fleming has explored the mysteries that exist beyond ordinary perception—ghosts, hauntings, spirit communication, near-death experiences, and the unseen forces that shape our lives.

Now, those experiences take on a new form.

Boogie Man Blues is the debut album from 515 Collective, a musical project created by Christopher Fleming that blends storytelling, spirituality, the paranormal, and deeply personal experiences into a unique collection of songs rooted in the blues.

Lyrics written during Christopher's battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), the album emerged from one of the most challenging chapters of his life. Throughout months of chemotherapy, recovery, neuropathy, and uncertainty, writing lyrics and producing music with todays latest technologies became both refuge and medicine. What began as a creative outlet evolved into an ambitious album built from more than 100 song titles, ideas and lyrical concepts, eventually distilled into 21 tracks.

More than a collection of songs, Boogie Man Blues is a journey through fear, hope, mystery, survival, loss, faith, and transformation.

Musically, the album draws inspiration from traditional juke-joint blues, blues rock, roots music, folk, soul, gospel, trance-like rhythm blues, and Americana influences. The result is a rich, cinematic soundscape filled with stomping rhythms, memorable hooks, spiritual overtones, and stories that linger long after the music ends.

Many of the songs explore the paranormal subjects Christopher has spent a lifetime investigating.

Listeners will encounter wandering spirits in "Phantoms Fill the Skies," a beloved ghostly companion in "Good Ole' Henry," and deeply personal encounters with haunting phenomena in "I Got the Boos." Songs such as "Conjure" and "Talking Through the Ouija Board" venture into the delicate boundary between the living and the dead, where communication, curiosity, and mystery intersect.

Throughout the album, spectral and gospel like voices seem to gather around the listener. The repeated call of "Here Now!" and "Do you feel that" acts as an invitation, summoning a supernatural chorus that stomps, sings, and guides the audience through the unfolding narrative. By the time the album reaches its closing moments with "We Are Free," "Let's Sing It Now," and "Sweet Grace," the journey transforms into one of release, redemption, celebration, and spiritual freedom.

At the center of the album stands the Boogie Man.

Not only the childhood monster of the paranormal, but also a symbol of fear itself.

Across multiple songs, the Boogie Man changes shape and meaning, becoming a metaphor for the monster, the darkness, trauma, uncertainty, and unseen forces that follow us throughout life. Sometimes he appears as a creature. Sometimes as memory. Sometimes as something far more personal.

Yet this is not merely an album about fear.

It is also an album about overcoming it.

Tracks such as "Stomp" confront heartbreak and adversity head-on, while the album's later songs embrace healing, grace, resilience, and spiritual liberation. Beneath every ghost story and supernatural tale lies a deeper human story about survival.

Many of these songs were inspired by actual experiences from Christopher's childhood, decades of paranormal investigations, personal encounters, and moments that left lasting impressions. Some songs are written from the perspective of the living. Others allow spirits themselves to tell their stories, offering a voice to those who may have been forgotten.

The result is a collection that is at times haunting, soulful, uplifting, eerie, emotional, and surprisingly fun.

These are songs designed to make you tap your foot, clap your hands, dance, sing along, reflect, and perhaps even see the world a little differently. More importantly, know you are not alone!

Boogie Man Blues is ultimately an album about the mysteries that surround us, the struggles that shape us, and the possibility of transformation waiting on the other side.

It is the debut release from 515 Collective—and the beginning of a new creative chapter at life for Christopher Fleming.
